Description
Chilli Blog Styler gives you greater control over the appearance of Joomla Category Blog pages. Instead of adding and maintaining custom CSS, you can configure the most important design options directly from the plugin settings.
Choose whether articles are displayed in one, two, three or four columns. The responsive layout automatically adjusts for tablets and mobile devices, while article cards in the same row remain equal in height for a clean and balanced presentation.
Consistent article images
Set a uniform image width and height for all blog articles. The plugin can crop images to fill the available space or display the complete image without cropping.
You can also select the crop position, center the image and apply a custom border radius. This creates a consistent layout even when the original article images have different dimensions.
Control titles and intro text
Limit the number of characters displayed in article titles and intro text. Long content is automatically shortened and finished with an ellipsis, helping every card maintain a balanced appearance.
You can also customize:
- Title font size and color
- Intro text font size and color
- Maximum title length
- Maximum intro text length
Flexible article card design
Create article cards that match the design of your website without editing template files or writing custom CSS.
Available options include:
- One, two, three or four columns
- Card background color
- Border color and thickness
- Border radius
- Content padding

- Equal-height cards
When the article image is set to 100% width, it extends to the edges of the card while padding remains applied only to the title, article information and intro text.

Choose which article information should appear in the Blog layout:
- Category
- Author
- Published date
- Read more link
The font size and color of article information can be customized separately. You can also replace the default Read more label with your own text, such as “Read article”, “Learn more” or “View details”.
Responsive and easy to use
Chilli Blog Styler automatically adapts the selected layout to smaller screens. Three and four-column layouts become two columns on tablets, while all layouts use a single column on mobile devices.
The plugin works with the Joomla com_content Category Blog layout and does not require knowledge of HTML, CSS or PHP. Install it, enable it, configure the available tabs and create a more professional Blog layout in minutes.
